Argues that within Kiganda, Africa, radio songs are an identifiable female text that reproduce a paradigmatic gendered structure demarcating female space. Gendered structure origins in the Kiganda founding myth `The Story of Kintu'; Role of radio songs in narrating emergent national and gender histories; Paradigm of silencing and deletion in the radio song `Nakakaawa'.
