Literary Criticism
A literary criticism of the novels "Last Exit to Brooklyn," by Hubert Selby Jr. and "American Psycho," by Bret Easton Ellis is presented. It is said that though both novels cannot be considered works of art, they are socio-psychological tracts that can be interesting and can still fit a study of the American novel of violence. Both novels are set in New York City and that the characters are deviants from the typical American middle-class.
