ABSTRACT
The article presents a literary criticism of fictional and metaphysical truth in the novel "Soldados de Salamina" by Javier Cercas. It considers the author's exploration of the interface between reality and fiction, discusses his paradoxical use of the referentiality of language and his appeal to metafictional resources.
