ABSTRACT
The article presents a study of Christopher Prendergast on the city of Paris in the nineteenth century. Prendergast noted that, Paris difficulty in reading and interpretation occurred in varying degrees. As evidence, the novel of Honore Balzac's "Ferragus," highlights several levels of readability problem. The readability has correlated to the circulation movements found in the novel like, the street traffic and the cabriolets clogs causing noise.
