ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the court patronage of Prince Henry Frederick Stuart of England as depicted in the play "Oberon." "Oberon" is an allusion of the court patronage of Prince Henry following his appointment as Prince of Wales in 1610. In "Oberon," Henry is alluded as the patron of a clientage that is rival to his father King James' clientage. His patronage is also seen as a source of a rival bounty.
