ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a research that was conducted to investigate the role of ectoenzyme pyrophosphatase phosphodiesterase 1(ENPP-1) Q121 variant on carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) measured at the common carotid artery (CCA) and at bulb. The research included 97 patients and anthropometric parameters were measured in all patients. The research helped in early identification of individuals who are at increased risk of developing cardio-vascular diseases (CVD).
