ABSTRACT
This section of the periodical 'Logistics and Transport Focus,' presents letters to the editors which focus on issues discussed in the periodical, as of March 2001. The first letter focused on the achievements of Richard McLeish, founding chairman of the Lancashire and Cumbria Branch of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, who died in 2000 at the age of 49. The second letter commented on an article by Stephen Errey which suggested that professionals are still trying to structure the concept of logistics so as to include the movement of people. The last letter focused on a survey which studied trends in supply chain strategies. The report speculates on the reasons why order tracking or vehicle tracking is used by only twenty percent of all respondents.
