ABSTRACT
The article discusses the role of social media in medical pedagogy and its facilitation of professional engagement. Topics included are the growing shift to online sources of knowledge since the invention of the World Wide Web, the expansion of the range of learning and training approaches of clinical educators, and assessment of its impact at the Social Media Summit of the 2014 International Conference on Residency Education.
