ABSTRACT
An interview with John Axelrod, who was appointed principal conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi in 2011, is presented. Axelrod states that he wanted to make a recorded cycle of symphonies by Johannes Brahms. He mentions that the "Fourth Symphony," which begins his Brahms-Clara Schumann project, is the greatest of the symphonies. He adds that laVerdi offers an auditorium which only few orchestras have.
