ABSTRACT
An interview with actress Geri Jewell is presented. When asked how she started her career she states that she started with stand-up comedy in 1978 when she was discovered by Fern Fields who made her perform at the Second Annual Media Access Awards. She discusses a movie based on his life called "Music Within." An excerpt from her book "I'm Walking As Straight As I Can: Transcending Disability in Hollywood and Beyond" is included.
