ABSTRACT
An interview with trumpeter Dan Miller is presented. He recalls the time when he said he wants to play the trumpet as a career. He thinks the one that is common with all of the great people he has worked with is dedication and work ethic. He offers information on the third annual Jazzin' It Up! benefit for Footsteps to the Future, a mentoring program for young women in and aging out of foster care who are moving towards independent living.
