An interview is presented with Dan Beckett, head of art at the CHI&Partners advertising agency, and Wally Olins, chairman of the Saffron brand consulting business. They discuss advertising agencies working on brand identities, such as CHI&Partners' design of the logo for the British Gas company. Olins discusses brand consultancies and suggests that they are better for branding than advertising agencies. Also discussed are relationships between advertising agencies and designers and clients.
