ABSTRACT
The article presents an interview with Yogesh Lohiya, Chairman and Managing Director of GIC Re. When asked about the impact of the price war on his company, Lohiya replies that the firm has made concerted efforts to ensure that the pricing was more realistic during 2010-11. He says that there has been no reduction in the capacity offered by the firm for the domestic markets. He discusses regulatory issues in the insurance sector in India.
