The article presents an interview with Marc Serughetti, product marketing director at Synopsys Inc. When asked about the challenges facing (electronic control unit) ECU developers, Serughetti replies that the increased software content, combined with concerns around safety and design robustness are some of the challenges. He briefs about the development of reliable advanced software applications. He shares his view on the automotive industry adapting to standards like AUTOSAR.
