ABSTRACT
An interview with Stanford University education and history professor Sam Wineburg is presented. He discusses his critiques of history education in the U.S. and his disagreement with what he calls decontextualized test questions about history. He offers his thoughts upon history tests that he argues are designed to track on a bell curve. Wineburg discusses his thoughts on his preference for abolishing multiple choice questions in history exams.
