ABSTRACT
An interview with Erick M. Mendieta, a surgical/trauma critical care nurse at Broward Health System, Fort Lauderdale, Florida is presented. When asked about her experience as a nurse she states her interest in pediatrics began when she had kidney transplant in childhood and got to know the role played by nurses and doctors in the ICU. Mendieta also states that she enjoys her work as a critical care nurse and describes her experience of working in a pediatric unit.
