'Good credit score helps get better loan deals'

This article presents an interview with Arun Thukral, managing director of the Credit Information Bureau (India) Ltd. (CIBIL), on how both lenders and borrowers can benefit from the bureau's work and the initiatives in the pipeline. Thukral discusses the main functions of credit bureaus. He recalls the need for a credit bureau in 2007 during a South Asian financial crisis. He suggests ways to improve one's credit history.
