An interview with creative director of Dr. Martens Airwair LLC, Damien Wilson is presented. When asked how the company remained relevant in the footwear industry, Wilson said that, it is through constant reinvention. When asked about the challenges in designing for a global brand, Wilson said that, it is the fact that different countries have different needs. When asked why having branded retail important to the company, Wilson said that, it is a way of telling the brand story to people.
