ABSTRACT
An interview with dental marketers Tim McGlynn of 3M ESPE and Nikki Sparacino of DENTSPLY Caulk is presented. When asked about their views on the most important aspect of marketing, McGlynn states that marketing starts with identifying customers' needs while Sparacino notes that marketing begins with conducting appropriate market research to determine such needs. They also answer questions on the keys to their individual successes and the factors considered by dentists to try a new product.
