ABSTRACT
An interview with Green Oak Nursery & Florist Inc. co-owner Karen McKie, one of the recipients of Green Media's 2010 Most Influential People in the Green Industry, is presented. When asked about her biggest contribution to the green industry, she refers to her role as the former president of Mississippi Nursery and Landscape Association. McKie says that her father Billy Martinson and mentor Sidney B. Meadows influenced her. She adds that traveling raises awareness of other plant environments.
