ABSTRACT
An interview with Focusrite owner Phil Dudderidge is presented. When asked about how he get started in audio, he said that at 21, he worked with a band called Soft Machine. He stated that he jumped into the audio business created by the failure of the original Focusrite by Rupert Neve. He emphasized on the anticipation of market demands as part of the success of the company.
