An interview with Indira Samarasekera, president of the University of Alberta, is presented. Samarasekera says that universities are considered great if the best students and best professors want to work there. She mentions that compared to top U.S. public universities, University of Alberta is about 30 per cent behind in per-student funding. She adds that being a university president, it allows her to bring in some of the best professors who can change the lives of students in the university.
