An interview with Doug Harmon, head of loan origination in the Americas at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), is presented. When asked about the initiatives undertaken by the RBS in the leveraged loan market, he states that they consolidated their noninvestment-grade loan business and their high yield bond business into one platform that delivers both bond and loan solutions to their clients. He adds that they have been actively working to increase their overall footprint in the Americas.
