ABSTRACT
An interview with John Lapham, co-manager of PineBridge Investments' leveraged finance group, is presented. When asked about the current state of the leveraged loan market, he responds that it is healthy due to low levels of defaults, good returns and the flow of funds from retail funds and crossover accounts. he forecasts the asset class to perform well in the medium term. He mentions that his company avoids investing much in firms needing a major turnaround or those affected by a single event.
