ABSTRACT
An interview with Jim Molan, a retired major general from the Australian Army, is presented. He discusses Australia's military credibility which is essential to the country's alliance with the U.S. for future security. He argues that the number of Australian troops in Afghanistan should be doubled because of the withdrawal of the Dutch forces in the province. He believes that the need of the hour among Australian politicians is to provide a strong political and strategic leadership.
