ABSTRACT
The article presents an interview with Rich Umbdenstock, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the American Hospital Association (AHA). When asked why the AHA supported the U.S. health care reform legislation, Umbdenstock responds that the AHA has support reform since 1970. He answers questions related to clinical integration and how hospitals should prepare for changes that are coming with the health reform law.
