ABSTRACT
An interview with Tim Janes, the corporate security officer and president of Capital One Bank (USA) NA, is presented. When asked whether he needs to justify his role as a security leader, he says that everybody needs to deliver value to their organizations, which he believes is different from justification. He mentions that protecting the intellectual property of a business is vital because it is the lifeblood in the global economy.
