An interview with Louis Hernandez Jr., chief executive officer (CEO) of Open Solutions Inc., is presented. When asked about his reason for creating the book "Too Small to Fail: How the Financial Industry Crisis Changed the World's Perceptions," he refers to the failure of several community-based institutions to act according to their function in the economy. He offers a brief explanation about his book. He discusses one of the challenges that the banking industry faced during economic crisis.
