ABSTRACT
An interview with Paul LaMastra and Neil Travis, the recipients of the "2010 American Cinema Editors (ACE) Career Achievement Award," is presented. When asked about how they become a film editor, LaMastra says it was by accident when he was looking for a job while Travis says it was due to nepotism. LaMastra states the significance of digital technology in demystifying the process of editing. Further, Travis mentions the improvement of the process of film shooting through digital tools.
