ABSTRACT
An interview with Michelle Erickson, Citigroup's initiative director, is presented. During the interview, Erickson states that the company have more than 5,000 virtual servers, achieving near to 2 million U.S. dollars in annual power and cooling savings. He mentions the role of Citi's data center consolidation strategy into its green information technology (IT) efforts. He also mentions the nature of Citi's mobile device recycling program.
