ABSTRACT
An interview with Rat Sound Systems Inc. owner, mixer, and monitor designer Dave Rat is presented. According to him, he did not have a clear view of the industry when he started in 1979. However, Rat notes that he learned more as they grew. He believes that the availability of quality systems from manufacturers removes the old school system of having a better system than the others. Moreover, he notes that the primary focus of the sound company is concert touring.
