ABSTRACT
An interview with Josh Peirez, who became MasterCard Inc.'s first head of innovative platforms in the U.S., is presented. Peirez says that there is an emerging trend of payment transactions via mobile devices and the Internet. He mentions the development of the Payment Gateway by MasterCard Inc. which allowed large corporations to settle with suppliers and vendors they use with a purchase card. He also cites one of the companies business strategies which is the acquisition of Orbiscom Ltd.
