ABSTRACT
An interview with Karen Hanton, chief executive of Toptable Group, is presented. According to Hanton, she first worked as a temporary clerk in the personnel office at Whiteleys deportment store, part of the Allders Group, after coming to London, England. After working for Allders for ten years, she decided to start her own property development company. Hanton asserts that the founder of any business should be involved in the recruitment of the first 100 employees to help set the culture that he or she wants.
