ABSTRACT
The article presents an interview with Richard Elman, founder and chief executive officer (CEO), and Harry Banga, vice chairman, of the commodity supply-chain giant Noble Group Ltd. Elman says that they are not looking at takeovers as they prefer staff recruitment and acquiring distressed assets instead. Elman says that they have hired around 100 people of senior level in the last three months. Banga says that their first-quarter volume of iron ore was almost double the first quarter of 2008.
