CFP Board Chair Dimitroff on a Fortified Duty of Care and How Obama Will Treat Advisers

An interview with Marilyn Capelli Dimitroff, chairman of Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc.'s Board of Directors, is presented. When asked about her view on CFP's rule on certificant's duty of care, she believes that it is the most vital change done by CFP. She adds that no amount of regulation could deter someone, even the CFP Board, to engage in shady or criminal action. She said that as chairman of CFP, she wants to have an effective voice in any rules affecting consumers.
