An interview with Steve Zipperstein, vice president of Legal Affairs & Legal Counsel for Verizon Wireless, is presented. He refers to the difficulty of serving the border between California and Mexico and sees the need for a world class radio network. He believes that 1st responders should have the freedom to choose the technologies that they think work best for them. He concludes that technology has advanced to the point where problems can be solved at will using the solution offered in the 21st century.
