ABSTRACT
The article presents an interview with Scott Schnell, president of VideoIQ Inc. Speaking on the new trends in the video surveillance market, he says that the increasing threats of global terrorism and the ongoing economic slowdown has led to an increase in the demand for video surveillance. He comments on the next-generation analytics and architecture and believes that if analytics is combined with storage, one can address the bandwidth and storage requirements of Internet Protocol cameras.
