An interview with Sean Hennessey of the Lodging Investment Advisors LLC is presented. When asked about the impact of the financial crisis on hotels, Hennessey thinks that there will be a slowdown in all types of travel particularly in business travel and meetings. He adds that negotiating leverage will be more on the side of meeting planners in 2009 and 2010 than in the past years. He notes that hotels would place less reliance on revenue management models.
