ABSTRACT
An interview with Kim Barnes author and teacher of creative writing at the University of Idaho is presented. When asked about how is the story she loves and story of American West, she explains that it was the story of westward movement towards hope and plenty. She adds that it also relates about the story of nomadic nature of those living in the West on how class has defined the majority of the inhabitants of the West.
