ABSTRACT
An interview with Cheryl Horvath, division chief of the Northwest Fire/Rescue District in Tucson, Arizona is presented. When asked about fixable issue facing women in the fire service, she refers to cultural issues which led to a physical problem. She states that there is a lack of female-to-female relationship in the service, wherein it starts on the most basic position. Horvath narrates her biggest hurdle as a firefighter.
