ABSTRACT
An interview with Franklin Abram, vice president and general manager of Sanyo Fisher Company, is presented. When asked about the future of industry that uses IP-based system, he refers that the ongoing trend toward IP-based system acclaims the future of the security industry. He cites to the users that IP-based security system offers flexibility, simpler interface and with greater control. He enumerates several factors to be taken into consideration when moving from analog to an IP platform.
