ABSTRACT
An interview with Carl Schlachte, president of ARC, is presented. When asked about the need of companies to focus on portability, he refers to the creation of low-powered device as the measurement of success in the consumer electronics market. He believe that there are certain key areas of technology that they need to control to maintain the user experience. He stated that they have developed Energy PRO to be able to control energy consumption in hardware and software aspects.
