An interview with Sandra Conway, head of human resources (HR) at Right Management, is presented. According to Conway, halfway through her studies she became a personnel assistant at Northern Foods. She notes that one of her biggest achievements was to change a very process-driven transactional HR department into one that was much more business focused and linked to the organisation's aims and objectives. She offers her outlook for the future of the HR function.
