ABSTRACT
An interview with Alex Mills, president of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers in Wichita Falls, is presented. When asked about the impact of the energy bill on Texas, he replied that the tax on oil and gas was not acceptable since it would appear to tax fossil fuel industry to subsidize alternative fuel producing businesses. He added that public oil and gas companies are the usual target because of the publicity on their profit that do not however mention the jobs that have been lost. According to Mills, offshore gas exploration is also dwindling.
