ABSTRACT
An interview with African American hip-hop artist Karrine Steffans is presented. When asked why she revealed her negative life experiences in the book "Confessions of a Video Vixen," she said that she did that for herself and for the people who like her. She explained how being a rape victim affected her views on sex. She also described how her grandmother reacted to her experiences.
