This article presents an interview with Shimon Romach, commissioner at Israel Fire and Rescue Services. When asked about volunteer fire service in the country, he explains that they do not have regular departments that have only volunteer firefighters, but instead, they have two different types of volunteers within the different fire departments. He recommends to American fire chiefs to be prepared in responding to any acts of terrorism.
