The article presents an interview with Edward Padula, producer of the musical "Bye Bye Birdie" in New York City. When asked about how he bear up the success he had received, he said that he is still the same person. He said that he wanted to make a contemporary show, in which teenagers would play a big part. He also explained why he chose teenagers to play on his show, as well as the important role of adolescents in the show.
