ABSTRACT
The article presents an interview with Roald Hoffman, who organized a series of chemistry workshops for young scientists from the Middle East. When asked about the importance of academic classes in relation to the political crisis in Middle East, he noted that although a scientific gathering may be too unrealistic to solve the problems in the region, nonetheless, these small actions can build trust and connections between people which can become the bedrock to stability.
