ABSTRACT
This article presents an interview with musicians Mike Simpson and John King. Simpson and King worked on an avalanche of records during the late 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. They tried their hands at a great number of studio activities; sampling, composing, mixing, remixing, recording and producing. Simpson says that the state of hip hop was pretty minimal at their time, and they were doing very textural, tripped out, almost hallucinogenic remixes. King says that he has converted one of his two houses into a studio complex where he has two studios.
