ABSTRACT
This article presents an interview with author Ned Vizzini in which he recounts his humiliating and often-hilarious days as a tall, skinny student in high school. Vizzini started writing stories about "The Poor Old Wizard" who fought the vicious empire, when he was in second grade. Vizzini's new book "Be More Chill" is about a kid who finds a pill that makes him cool. It was inspired by a song by an Indian band called Drunk Horse. According to Vizzini, kids are made lonely by the unrealistic images they see on television and teenage girls have it even worse.
